Kona Bay GSR-Taura™ is the world's leading line of Taura virus resistant shrimp. Kona Bay GSR-Taura™ has been developed by Kona Bay to be highly resistant to Tuara Syndrome Virus and to be very high growth.

Our Kona Stock of P. vannamei is from the SPF population at The Oceanic Institute in Hawaii. The weight of male animals range between 40 to 45 grams and 45 to 50 grams for females. Age of shrimp broodstock is from 9 to 12 months from post-larval stage.

Commercial hatcheries in Asia, Latin America and the US that use Kona Bay GSR-Taura™ are assured of having the finest white shrimp available. Kona Bay GSR-Taura™ broodstock are highly efficient producers of both nauplii and postlarvae.

Certified SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) by the State of Hawaii, Kona Bay GSR-Taura™ is raised in our advanced bio-secure facility. All shipments of Kona Bay White Shrimp include a Health Status Report prepared by the State of Hawaii certifying its disease-free status.

Kona Bay will make all shipping arrangements and prepare necessary documentation for customs. We can arrange shipments to even the most remote destinations. Our shipping specialists have contracted for some of the lowest shipping rates available.
